The British government is pledging £1,000,000 of taxpayers money to fund Islamic Studies in universities in a bid to curb extremism.
At a conference “fronted” by Cambridge University, Traitor Bliar said that British politicians must listen harder to the “calm voice of moderation” of the majority of the UK’s muslims. He didn’t, however, explain why the hell British politicians must listen harder to a minority group of fanatics following a religion that hasn’t evolved since the dark ages rather than treating them exactly the same as everyone else. When will the British government start listening to the calm voice of moderation of the majority of English people?
Not only is a million pounds of our tax money – money which could be spent on doctors or schools – being given to universities to train Imams but Islamic Studies are being given “strategic importance subject” status which will make it easier to get bottomless pits of taxpayers money.
The money is being thrown at Islamic Studies based on the theory that if the British government gives universities lots of money then they won’t teach their students that all westerners are infidels and they’ll get more control over the teaching of Islam. Meanwhile, the University & College Union last week voted to urge lecturers not to inform the authorities if they suspect one of their students of extermism.
Bliar also wants Islamic schools to have closer links with state schools. Islamic schools shouldn’t exist – how can muslims integrate into our society and our culture if they seperate themselves from the rest of society at home, work and school? Try banning muslims from a Christian school and see what happens!
The money is needed to stop radical immams from abroad being the preachers for young muslims. It is a good policy, much better than 90 day setention or suspending the right to liberty as a mens of countering terrorism. Steaming the flow of radical thought will tackle terrorism and extremism at its root. In stead of radicals winning the minds of disenfranchise youth by religion, religion can be used to help people and the community and to encourage integration, instead of division and radicalism being preached by radicals who seek to further ostracise youngsters as a way of gaining them in their radical cause. By funding moderates we will stop radicals and so save generations of Muslims from extremism and saving the rest of society from the impacts of such radicalism. It is a good policy, which will tackle radicalism at its roots.
It is a very good policy you preaching, young idiot Calum. But there is a far better onem, and it is to tell Muslims that if they want to practice their religion they may pack their explosives up and go elsewhere.
As muslims account for only 3% of the population, why the feck have they been singled out for this special use of tax payers money.

O.K. lets for the sake of argument accept the statement that there are 2.7% Muslims as true, if that is the case, why do the whims of this tiny minority take precedence over the 97.3% that aren’t Muslim and most of whom couldn’t care less about Islam, why are they so bloody important that we have to alter OUR society to suit them, why should we change anything of our country and our lives to pander to this pushy minority, if they don’t like our country, and I mean England, because that is where they are, theres only a few in Scotland and Wales, they’ll have to consider going to live in an Islamic country because we are not going to sit in silence while England is slowly but surely transformed from a secular Nation founded in Christian values and into an Islamic state
The funding wont turn the UK into some Islamic sharia law state. What it will do is train immams so that muslims don’t receive religious guidance form foreign extremists, who strive to destroy all that the west stands for, replacing it with radical islam. There are very few British immams, thus many islamic preachers are foreign radicls. What we need it to train moderate immams, so replacing the radicals. It’s not about islamification of the UK. It is about moderating and stopping radicals from preaching their hate.
You’re making two big assumptions:
1. The immams won’t just take the money and continue to spout anti-west bile. They do it now living off benefits and condemning the system that gives them the benefits – biting the hand that feeds them.
2. Muslims will go and be taught by immams that that will be considered puppets of the state by their “community”.

The point I was trying to make is, if the roles were reversed and I was to go to live in an Islamic country, there is no way on earth that they would be so accommodating as we are. Indeed If I wee to try and preach hatred in the same way as the Immams, I would be dead, either stoned to death or beheaded!
If I am a bigot, it is because the politicians by pandering to the 2.7% of the electorate, have made me a bigot! But then I want a return to being able to be English, the scots can be scots and Irish and Welsh on any Government form you care to look at, yet I cannot be English? Why ever not? Finally if the Islamics are against this country, why are they not all flocking back to islamic countries?
Just because Islamic states may not be so accepting to others why should we be likewise?
