Littlejohn tells it how it is

! This post hasn't been updated in over a year. A lot can change in a year including my opinion and the amount of naughty words I use. There's a good chance that there's something in what's written below that someone will find objectionable. That's fine, if I tried to please everybody all of the time then I'd be a Lib Dem (remember them?) and I'm certainly not one of those. The point is, I'm not the kind of person to try and alter history in case I said something in the past that someone can use against me in the future but just remember that the person I was then isn't the person I am now nor the person I'll be in a year's time.

An bunch of god-botherers and navel-gazing, beared, lentil eating, hemp wearing lefty liberal apologists have decided that St George is just too offensive and needs to be reinvented so that he’s more inclusive.

A report called “When The Saints Go Marching Out: Redefining St George For A New Era” says:

“It is time that St George was reclaimed from the dragon, from past associations with racism and the far right, and from images of arrogant flag-waving”

The racism accusation is probably two-fold (it doesn’t say).  Firstly, the BRITISH National Party often fly the flag of St George.  The BNP are racist, therefore anyone who has an English flag is – by association – also a racist with a shaved head and a combat jacket.  There aren’t any calls to remove the Union Flag – part of their logo – from Buckingham Palace but lefties aren’t exactly noted for their logic skills.  Secondly, St George is associated with the Crusades.  Two thousand years ago, muslim invaders occupied the Holy Land putting non-muslims to death and generally making a nuisance of themelves.  Christian Crusaders from across Europe went to the Holy Land to fight the invaders and reclaim the Holy Land.  This is, of course, racist and deeply offensive to muslims who are still suffering from the Crusades 2,000 years on.  Gosh, I’m so ashamed to be white and English.

The report suggests that St Georges Day should be a:

“day of dissent” – celebrating “the pro- democracy Putney Debates, the equality-seeking Levellers, the anti-slavery abolitionists, the women’s suffrage movement, conscientious objectors and peacemakers, anti-racism campaigners, human rights activists and those struggling against debt and poverty”

Day of dissent?  Sounds good to me.  Putney Debates?  Let me just check Wikipedia … oh right, some constitutional debates from when Oliver Cromwell overthrew the monarchy and established a fundamentalist Christian dictatorship in England.  Actually, I suppose that’s quite relevant to modern-day England.  Levellers?  Weren’t they a band in the 70s?  I think perhaps they’re referring to the Levellers who were also involved in Cromwell’s civil war.  Are the Church planning another revolution perhaps?  Anti-slavery, womens suffrage, conscientious objectors, peacemakers, anti-racism, human rights and global poverty?  What has that got to do with being English?

Richard Littlejohn has written an excellent piece on this – take a look.

Personally, I will be celebrating St Georges Day with a day off work, a BBQ and a pint of Bombadier with a like-minded colleague.  Most of the pubs in Telford have English flags out all year round but some of them have got in English beers and are doing other things on Monday.  The council haven’t organised anything of course, they’re too busy finding new regional projects to sign up to so they can speed up the abolition of England.

BNP TrollThe days of the BNP in bovver boots and bombrer jackets are long gone. Now they are more likely to be nurses, schoolteachers and the self employed.
The very fact that flying ones own flag is deemed racist shows the level of interference by Left Wing governments in the lives of ordinary people.
The BNP simply never stopped flying the flag while all around tried to distance themselves from any idea of National identity and pride.
The resurgence in Nationalism across Europe is a symptom not a cause of the demonisation of patriots by Left Wing social manipulators.
The modern BNP are quite simply the only party responding to the changing mood of the indigenous Brits.
Far from losing ground they are turning that discontent into councillors and support.

Has my blog been copied by Stormfront again? That’s usually the only time I get BNP trolls here.

I don’t like the BNP; they’re not nationalists, they’re white supremecists.

Sorry but there are other parties out there that are responding to the rise in nationalism who don’t want the forced repatriation of foreigners and who don’t advocate DNA testing to qualify to take part in the democratic process.

The BNP is a left wing social manipulator anyway. Don’t think that the far-right label the Guardian has given you is accurate.

I don’t want to seem to nit pick but the Moslems conquered jerusalem in 640AD (approx) & the crusades didn’t get moving until the eleventh century.

This was largely because the former moderate moselm rulers were replaced by more hardline ones who began restricting the access of christian pilgrims to the holy sites. Also the Pope of the day wanted to get a bunch of what were largely homocidal maniacs out of Europe so they could be killing infidels rather than fellow christians. Read descriptions of the fall of Jerusalem at the end of the 1st Crusade and call me a liar if you can.

    Nice post Wonko.

However I think it’s wrong to tar all members of the BNP with that white supremacist brush. Some are no doubt, but most have just had enough of seeing their towns and cities change beyond all recognition – and not in a good way.

Anyway… I’m out in brum for St George’s have a good one – and I’m nicking that graphic too 😛

Dave W, thank’s for this history lesson – my knowledge of the Crusades isn’t fantastic. The Holy Land means nothing to me, I don’t have any religion. Other than Wonkism of course.

Brummie, I know that not everyone in the BNP is racist (I actually have a couple of friends who are in the BNP and they’re not racist, just very disillusioned with what#s happening to the country) but lets face it – the party is racist. Their constitution is built on white supremecy. Something has to be done but I don’t think the BNP is the answer. It’s like cracking a nut with a hammer.

Please feel free to nick the graphic – I sent it to the Witan list earlier.

BNP Trollas a working class man whom has work hard in the Sheffield steel works for most of his life i joined the B.N.P. because it is the only party that will look after the British peoples health wealth and happiness

I have been to many B.N.P. meetings and never heard any mention of racial hatred or bigotry
just honest and fair proposals that are good for the British people

This traitorous parliament believe they have the divine right to rule

while self imposing their avaricious pay perks and pension while denying the British people of their truthful and hard earn monies

I think UKIP will do a better job of looking after our interests. The EU and the Scottish Raj are the biggest threats to our country at the moment and they will take care of the former and are almost there with their solution for the latter. The added bonus is that they don’t support forced repatriation of immigrants and they don’t think that black people are subhuman.

If you want to support a fring party in protest because the others are so crap then I can understand that but the BNP is one hell of a protest.

I’m not British anyway, I’m English. I don’t know if I’m 100% Anglo-Saxon but if the BNP were to get into power they would bar me from taking part in the democratic process if I couldn’t prove by DNA test that I was.

Isn’t it funny that neither of these BNP trolls will talk about the BNP’s core policy of voluntary and then forced repatriation?

Nice post, Wonko. Its my birthday on St Georges day and I’m working. I could have taken the day off (and probably should of) and i think we should get it as a national holiday (not because its my birthday either 😉 ) and be allowed to celebrate like the Irish celebrate St Patricks day.

Happy St Georges day to you 🙂
BTW I found this website a while back by searching for ‘evesham laptops’ (I live in evesham) and there is a company by that name (totally unrelated to the one we all know and love lol… I remember evesham micros as they were back in 86 when i was at school and we used to go down in the lunch time and piss them of by messing on the speccies and c64s.. to be honest, I’m surprised they made it as big as they have.. the term ‘2 bit’ sprung to mind @ the time 😉 )
