Gas & Electric, Federal Europe and the great global warming scam

nPower has just bumped its prices for gas and electricity up by quite a sizeable amount because of “rising energy prices”.

The boss of nPower was on the telly the other day saying that we just have to get used to the fact that prices will keep on rising significantly and, of course, he’s right.  We may have the choice to change to another provider but gas and electricity are not a luxury.  The suppliers all sit around watching each other, waiting for one to put up their prices and then they all put them up to match.  Usually it’s British Gas that put their prices up first, presumably to encourage customers onto a fixed price tariff.

But it’s wrong to say that it’s all down to “rising energy prices” because it’s not.

The hysteria that has been whipped up by the British government, eco-terrorists and “scientists” who make a living out of inventing climate change data, has forced electricity suppliers to start looking at renewable energy.  It’s a token gesture because we can’t possibly satisfy our energy needs by wind farms and solar panels – they are unreliable, uneconomical and completely unviable.  But they have to build them to satisfy the demands of those customers that get a warm fuzzy feeling if they think the electricity they’ve got coming into their home is “green” and the British government which is doing everything it can to wring a few more billion pounds of “green” taxes out of electricity suppliers.

Federal Europe has a hand in this as well, of course.  As DK points out, the “Renewals Obligation” requires at least £1bn to be spent on building wind farms and other types of renewable energy and the cost of Federal Europe’s Carbon Trading scheme – where companies can sell parts of their allowance on carbon emmissions to other companies – is about £6bn.  The additional £7bn being spent on the carbon emmissions/global warming fantasy will be passed on to customers on top of the “rising energy prices”.  Federal Europe is also talking about putting tariffs on cheap goods from emerging economies like China and India because of their carbon emissions.

We would be cushioned more from the “rising energy prices” if our fellow European Soviet Socialist Republics didn’t hike up the price of gas and electricity they supply to us.  In direct contravention of Federal Europe’s rules, gas and electricity suppliers on the continent artificially inflate the price of what they supply to the UK.  This isn’t to cover the cost of actually supplying to us, it’s on the actual price of the gas and electricity itself.  And this is done with the full support of their own governments, further evidence of the fact that the UK remains part of Federal Europe solely for the purpose of financing it.

This obsession with the myth of man-made climate change is slowly killing our economy and it will only get worse.  Debate on the causes of climate change are closed down immediately despite all the evidence showing it to be naturally occurring.  Eco-terrorists like Al Gore and Greenpeace claim the argument is won and there is no room for debate.  In November, Margaret Beckett said that climate change deniers were like Islamic terrorists and shouldn’t have access to the media.

Well the argument hasn’t been won and when the global economy is fucked, people like Gore and Beckett will be the ones responsible.  But that’s what the eco-terrorists want – sandal wearing, bearded, left wing hippies want the worlds capitalist economies to collapse to pave the way for a global socialist state.  They don’t learn from history, you see.  They don’t look at every communist government the world has seen and realise that it just doesn’t work, that there will always be a ruling class and that they – the ones who have shown themselves to be rebellious – will be the first ones against the wall when the inevitable purge happens.

The only people that are benefitting from the global warming scam are the “scientists” and places like China and India where they don’t want to go back to being stone age hunter gatherers on the back of a discredited, artificially created scam.

All aboard the bandwagon

A group of scientists in America have predicted that Arctic summers will be ice-free in 5-6 years time.

Eco-terrorists have been bleating about the receding ice caps and declining permafrost for a while now with their doom and gloom predictions about mass flooding all over the world.  The BBC provides a helpful graphic to illustrate the receding ice caps (right) but – like the eco-terrorists – fails to explain that the ice caps have historically been much smaller and increase and decrease regularly.  As I’ve said many times before, Greenland wasn’t named Greenland because it was covered in ice.

Professor Wieslaw Maslowski doesn’t stop at his 5-6 year perdiction though.  He claims that it may be a conservative estimate because it doesn’t take into account 2006 or 2007 data so we could all be snorkling round Sainsbury’s within a couple of years.

So what will happen when, in 5-6 years, the polar ice caps haven’t melted and London doesn’t look like a set from Waterworld?  Will Maslowski and his team of doom-mongering “experts” be told to fuck off and stop wasting our time?  Will the self-declared climate change experts at Greenpeace disappear from our screens forever?  Will the left wing, bearded, sandal wearing, smelly tree-huggers be forced to eat their own discredited propaganda printed on recycled, shit-stained toilet paper until they admit that they’ve been talking complete bollocks?

Of course not.  The American Navy will continue to pay Maslowski and his fuckwit mates to come out with this sensationalist shit and the BBC will continue to bring in grubby little dreadlocked eco-terrorists to talk about global warming for the price of a bowl of lentil soup in the canteen because they can’t be arsed to argue.  Why report the facts and expose the global warming scam for what it is when you can rake in government cash for spouting their left-wing, car-hating, anti-capitalist propaganda?  The BBC is little more than New Liebour’s lazy sockpuppet.

If the North Pole is ice free by 2013 I’ll eat my own faeces.  In fact no, worse than that – I’ll vote Liebour and eat my own faeces whilst a rabid badger hangs from my tabasco-covered testicles by its teeth.

We’ve heard it all before and we still don’t want it

The British government is still determined to press ahead with plans for 42 day internment for “terrorist” suspects.

As I’ve pointed out, several times before, anti-terrorism laws have so far caught 0 terrorists but have been used to arrest, detain, harass and deny liberty and fundamental constitutional rights for many innocent people.

The Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, has proposed that the amount of time a “terrorist” suspect can be detained without charge be extended to 42 days from the current limit of 28 days.  This would give us the rather dubious honour of being the only developed nation on the planet to allow its citizens to be detained without charge for more than 28 days.  The law of that beacon of liberty and democracy, Zimbabwe, allows someone to be detained without charge for 9 days with a further 21 days allowed by Presidential decree.  Most developed nations allow only 3 days of detention without charge – even France, which has suffered far more attacks than England, only allows 4 days and Greece, which has an active terrorist organisation inside its own borders carrying out intermittent terrorist attacks, allows only 6 days detention without trial … even for terrorists!

Current a “terrorist” suspect can be held for 28 days without charge.  To get the extra 14 days, MPs would have to vote on a request for an extension by a chief constable and the Director of Public Prosecutions.  The “terrorist” suspect would be held while MPs took a vote.  MPs will have 30 days to make their decision.  Do the maths.

Jacqui smith is going to give a briefing to Liebour MPs on Tuesday evening.  Why just Liebour MPs?  Don’t all MPs need to know why the Home Secretary believes that the state needs to be able to lock people up without charge for 6 weeks, especially when only 6 out of 71 responses to a Home Office consultation fully supported the plans?

That’s a good 90% of African nations on Human Rights Watch’s list.  So what he’s saying is that the EU and a bunch of tinpot dictators and human rights abusers are equals.  Won’t get any arguments from me there.

What a co-incidence

A quick scan of the BBC News website this morning turned up a story about the British government’s intention to try and increase the amount of time they can hold someone suspected of terrorism without charge from 28 days to 56.

Offences under the recent anti-terrorism laws include carrying a blank placard within 1km of Parliament and reading out the names of dead soldiers outside Downing Street.  Heinous crimes I’m sure you’ll agree.

Entirely co-incidently and not at all carefully planned to support the latest attempt to deprive us of our liberty and rights, the head of MI5 has this afternoon announced that up to 2,000 people are a threat to the UK because of their support of terrorism.

Any mention of this purely random co-incidence on the BBC?  Have the two stories been linked in any way?  Of course not, the Biased Broadcasting Corporation is faithfully carrying out its role as New Liebour propaganda machine.

English Grand Committee

The media has been awash with stories of the Conswervatives “new” radical plan to save the union and solve the West Lothian Question.

It’s not a new idea though, they’ve been talking about it for a couple of years at least and even then it’s not an original idea – someone told me that it first reared its ugly head in the 1800’s!

Anyway, this is all by the by – English Votes on English Matters or an English Grand Committee (they’re basically the same thing) will not solve the West Lothian Question, will not save the union and will not make England equal within the union.  What it will do is fail miserably and expose the extent to which party politics has made an utter sham of democracy.

If the Conswervatives introduce a bill for an English Grand Committee and somehow manage to get it through Parliament, Liebour will do everything in their power to make it fail.  That’s assuming they get it through, of course, because Liebour MPs will be whipped until they’re sore to make sure that their Scottish MPs can still vote on English matters because without them they don’t have a working majority in England.

There is a marked difference in the attitudes of MPs from Liebour and the Conswervatives in response to the English Grand Committee idea.  Tories are coming out and saying something has to be done to make the system fairer because it’s not right that MPs elected in Scotland have a say on health and education in England but not in their own constituencies.  Liebour, on the other hand, are rolling out minister and after incompetent, discredited minister to say that the idea is unworkable and will lead to the breakup of the union.  They’re right but what do they propose as an alternative?  They don’t because they don’t have one.  They know that the only way to make governemnt fair in England is to give us our own parliament but that’s bad for the party so they won’t entertain the idea.  In short, the party is more important than the people and that’s the root of all the problems with the sham of a democracy in this country.

There are many problems with the idea of an English Grand Committee is that it doesn’t create a seperate English Executive.  The MPs sitting on the Grand Committee won’t be there as English MPs representing the interests of England, debating English legislation.  They will be there as British MPs representing British interests on British legislation relating to England.  They certainly can’t be relied upon to represent England’s interests, they’re the ones who’ve been letting all this happen in the first place.

This Grand Committee idea also means there’s no pot of money for England.  Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland get a wedge of cash to spend on what they want, spending on England comes from the British budget.  If the money is needed to buy a few votes then tough luck England, there’s no more money for you.

And don’t even get me started on the Speaker of the House deciding whether a bill should be certified as an English bill – the Speaker is a Scottish Liebour stooge whose partiality at times is so breathtaking that it’s a miracle that Conswervative MPs are even allowed to speak in the presence of a Liebour MP, let alone disagree with them.

So what’s the solution?  Nothing short of an English Parliament is going to work but nobody wants to give us one.  I asked a few people today – some interested in politics, some not – what they thought and the same two answers came from everyone:

  • Hold a referendum
  • Revolution

The first one is simple and every day that passes and the Scottish Raj don’t give us a referendum is an insult to every English man, woman and child in England.  The second?  I’m not suggesting that a group of armed revolutionaries should storm parliament and hang every MP that’s supported the apartheid but a short sharp revolution like the one in Ukraine followed by a snap election not long ago would suit me just fine.  We need an English Parliament and whether it’s by referendum or revolution we will have one.

Blatant Propaganda

Captain Euro - Blatant PropagandaThe EU has excelled itself with its latest piece of child propaganda – Captain Euro.

Captain Euro is “Europe’s Superhero” and, with his trusty Captain Euro Team, he fights against “the baddy”, Dr. D. Vider.

The Introduction on the Captain Euro website describes the European Union as “a union of prosperity and innovation”.

Captain Euro works for the Twelve Stars Organisation which was “set up to defend the security of Europe and uphold the values of the Union” from their top secret headquarters, the Atonium Building, which is, of course, a real building in Brussels.

The Twelve Stars Organisation’s logo is “a five-pointed yellow star on a clear blue blue sky with the E of Europe at its centre – the shining symbol of strength through unity”.  They are, apparently, the “global messengers of peace” spreading the European message throughout the world.

The devious “baddy”, Dr. D. Vider, has only one intention which is “only too obvious: to divide Europe and create his own empire”.

Of course, Captain Euro and his team don’t just fight the dastardly plans of the baddies who want to divide Europe.  Oh not, they also represent Europe in sporting events “triumphing in the name of Europe”.

One of the founders of the company that made Captain Euro was responsible for building the European Commission’s Corporate Identity.

One thing is for sure – if my kids are exposed to this filth I will be sueing the school.  There are laws against the use of propaganda in English schools and not even the EU would try to claim that this isn’t politically motivated and totally biased.

Milking Climate Change for all it’s worth

Fresh milk is good for you right?  Good for your bones, good for your health in general and it tastes good.  I could drink gallons of the stuff if it wasn’t for the fact we already get through 5 or 6 pints a day as it is!

So why are the British government aiming to replace 90% of the milk in shops with sterilised UHT shit by 2020?  To prevent climate change of course!

DEFRA have decided that refrigerating milk is causing global warming so they are setting targets to replace fresh milk with UHT milk that doesn’t require refrigeration until after it’s been opened.

The British government’s obsession with climate change is reaching the point where it would be a joke if it wasn’t costing is billions.  DEFRA actually have a target to reduce methane emissions from cows by 60% within 15 to 20 years.  How the hell do you stop cows from farting for christs sake?

Al Gore’s global warming scam

I’ve just fired off the following email to Telford & Wrekin Council (my local authority) regarding Al Gore’s climate change propaganda film being shown in schools after reading this list of judgements by a High Court judge:

Hi,

I see that Al Gore’s film on Climate Change is set to enter the curriculum in English schools despite a High Court Judge ruling that the film is politically motivated and inaccurate.It is an offence to use politically motivated and inaccurate material (better known as “propaganda”) to teach children in English schools.The offence is under section 406 of the Education Act 1996 which makes political indoctrination illegal.

The following bullet points detail some of the judge’s findings:

  • The film claims that melting snows on Mount Kilimanjaro evidence global warming.
    The Government’s expert was forced to concede that this is not correct.
  • The film suggests that evidence from ice cores proves that rising CO2 causes temperature increases over 650,000 years.
    The Court found that the film was misleading: over that period the rises in CO2 lagged behind the temperature rises by 800-2000 years.
  • The film uses emotive images of Hurricane Katrina and suggests that this has been caused by global warming.
    The Government’s expert had to accept that it was “not possible” to attribute one-off events to global warming.
  • The film shows the drying up of Lake Chad and claims that this was caused by global warming.
    The Government’s expert had to accept that this was not the case.
  • The film claims that a study showed that polar bears had drowned due to disappearing arctic ice.
    It turned out that Mr Gore had misread the study: in fact four polar bears drowned and this was because of a particularly violent storm    .
  • The film threatens that global warming could stop the Gulf Stream throwing Europe into an ice age:
    The Claimant’s evidence was that this was a scientific impossibility.
  • The film blames global warming for species losses including coral reef bleaching.
    The Government could not find any evidence to support this claim.
  • The film suggests that the Greenland ice covering could melt causing sea levels to rise dangerously.
    The evidence is that Greenland will not melt for millennia.
  • The film suggests that the Antarctic ice covering is melting,
    The evidence was that it is in fact increasing.
  • The film suggests that sea levels could rise by 7m causing the displacement of millions of people.
    In fact the evidence is that sea levels are expected to rise by about 40cm over the next hundred years and that there is no such threat of massive migration.
  • The film claims that rising sea levels has caused the evacuation of certain Pacific islands to New Zealand.
    The Government are unable to substantiate this and the Court observed that this appears to be a false claim.

The film is essentially a work of fiction.It is little more than politically motivated propaganda used to justify punitive taxation to plug funding gaps in the treasuries of most developed nations.The High Court has judged that the film is politically motivated and biased and as such I feel that it is inappropriate and unlawful to show this film in a school.As such, I would be obliged if you could confirm that this piece of propaganda will not be shown in any schools in the borough.If any of my children are exposed to this political indoctrination I will seek prosecution.

I suggest that every other concerned parent does the same to prevent the gobal warming scam being taught to our children as fact when it is, in reality, a politically motivated, biased set of vague and unscientific assumptions.

EU hasn’t given up on metric

The media have finally caught up with the news that our masters in Federal Europe have, at least for the time being, given up on forced metrication in England.

I say “caught up” because this is old news – this decision was made a month ago but it’s taken the eurofederalists this long to realise that they can use it as “evidence” that Federal Europe isn’t that bad after all.

However, despite the headlines boldy declaring that Federal Europe has given up on metricating England, they are still very much committed to ensuring that foreign metric measurements are here to stay.  Anything you sell still has to be weighed or measured in metric with our own imperial weights and measures as an additional, less prominent, piece of information.  You will still be prosecuted by Trading Standards for not using foreign metric weights and measures even though imperial is used by more people than metric.

Is this a victory?  Not really.  It’s just maintaining the status quo – half metrication which infuriates a large proportion of the public.  Metric will still overtake imperial eventually without Federal Europe forcing it to happen.  Kids haven’t been taught how to use imperial for a long time so future generations will only be able to use foreign metric weights and measures.  In a few years the number of people who have deliberately been taught only metric weights and measures to kill off imperial will outnumber those of us who still use imperial.  Metrication will still go ahead, it will only be delayed by a few years and it will no longer be attributed to Federal Europe.

The West Midlands NO! Campaign is urging people not to be taken in by Advantage West Midlands’ self-congratulations over its response to the recent floods.

The £2m which AWM is claiming to be giving out in flood relief is money that, until recently, would have been in the hands of elected local authorities, not an unelected regional quango that is scrutinised by another unelected regional quango.

£250,000 of the £2m allocated is actually for a new attraction at the Severn Valley Railway and not flood relief, how much of the £2m will actually be spent on flood relief?

AWM claims to be offering practical assistance for businesses through its Business Link service and promoting tourism.

However, AWM recently withdrew its funding for the Heart of England Tourist Board which will cease trading at the end of the financial year as a result and they recently regionalised the local Business Link service resulting in such a poor service that the regional Business Link only receives as many phone calls as a single office used to.

Words are small comfort when there is very little to back them up.

ID Card “FAQs and myths”

The Identity & Passport Service website has some “FAQs and myths” on its website about ID Cards and the National Identity Register.  The pages in question can be found at http://www.identitycards.gov.uk/faqs-and-myths.asp

Lets have a look at some of the “FAQs” and “myths”:

  • Who will be eligible to have an ID card?
    Anyone over the age of 16 and legally resident in the United Kingdom for at least three months will be eligible to have an ID card.
    • Eligible?  I think required is a more appropriate word to use here.
  • Will it be compulsory to have an ID card?
    Yes, it will eventually be compulsory to have an ID card once further legislation is approved by Parliament, but it will take some time before the scheme reaches this point.
    • Assuming they can get the technology, ID cards will be mandatory for anyone holding a passport by 2010.  Is less than two and a half years “some time”?
  • Will it be compulsory to carry a card?
    No. You will not have to carry a card, although you may find it simple and convenient to do so. The police have no new powers associated with the scheme and they will not be able to stop you and demand to see your card.
    • You won’t have to carry an ID card at first but once everyone has one it won’t be long until you do.  You may find it simple and convenient to do so because you’ll be required to produced it more and more often as time goes on.  The police don’t have the power to stop you and demand it yet but once everyone has one it won’t be long until they do.
  • Will information be given out without my consent?
    Private sector organisations will not be permitted to access any information on the National Identity Register (NIR) itself. However, in many circumstances, it is useful to be able to prove your identity to such organisations (e.g. when opening a bank account).
    • They will be able to confirm that information they have about you is correct.  This will help to prevent fraud?  If someone gets your basic personal details such as name, address and date of birth and steals your ID card they have all the details they need to commit fraud using your indentity.  Just like they do now with the added irritation of having to steal your ID card but the added bonus of banks being less stringent with their other checks.  Think it won’t happen?  When was the last time the name on your debit card was checked at the supermarket?
  • Therefore, the Identity & Passport Service (IPS) plans a service that will allow you to let a private sector organisation request a check of your identity details. This check will then be conducted by IPS against the information held on the NIR. However, such requests could only be made with your consent.
    • And there are no rogue traders out there who might lie about it …
  • The police and security and intelligence agencies may make checks without consent but only for the prevention and detection of serious crime. They could also find out where and when your card had been used, but again only in cases of serious crimes. (There are no new police powers associated with the scheme.)
    • Check the ID cards legislation, it’s not just the police and security services that can get access to the database without your consent.
  • An independent National Identity Scheme Commissioner will be appointed to oversee the scheme and report to Parliament. The Commissioner’s role will include ensuring that personal identity information is used only for the purposes set out under the scheme and that no unauthorised extra information is held on the NIR.
    • Independent … employed by the British government and sackable by the British government.
  • What are the aims of the scheme?
    The aims of the scheme are to:
    • help protect people from identity fraud and theft
      • You can change your account number or PIN, you can’t change your DNA.
    • strengthen our security and improve public confidence
      • The public don’t have confidence in it already and it’s not even in yet!
    • tackle illegal working and immigration abuse
      • Illegal immigrants don’t take any notice of the law, that’s why they’re illegal.
    • disrupt the use of false and multiple identities by organised criminals and those involved in terrorist activity
      • Funnily enough, terrorists and master criminals don’t take any notice of the law either.
    • ensure free public services are only used by those entitled to them
      • So it will be compulsary to have and produce an ID card.
    • enable easier and more convenient access to public services
      • Easier and more convenient to have to carry and produce an ID card than not having to carry and produce a card?
  • You say now that people wouldn’t have to carry these cards, but what’s to stop you or a future government changing their minds?
    The Identity Cards Act 2006 explicitly prohibits the Government from making it a requirement to carry a card. If a future Parliament wants to change this, it would have to pass further primary legislation.
    • No government can bind its successor.  In fact, there is nothing to stop this government from passing a law requiring you to carry a card.
  • Won’t the proposal lead to racial discrimination?
    […] The scheme will be open to everyone and treat everyone on an equal basis. It will also incorporate rules on the production of cards/identity checks that are consistent and do not single out particular groups.
    • Open to everyone.  That makes it sound compulsary, which it isn’t.
  • Will the Data Protection Act 1998 apply?
    Yes. Individuals registered on the National Identity Scheme will have subject access rights under the Data Protection Act 1998.
    • And what about the bit of the Data Protection Act that forbids personal data being “exported” outside of the EU which it will be when it’s shared with other countries?
  • How will ID cards protect us from the threat of terrorism?
    The National Identity Scheme will disrupt the use of false identities by terrorist organisations, for example in money laundering and organised crime. We know that terrorist suspects make use of false identities. The scheme would also be a useful tool in helping to maintain and disrupt the activities of terrorist networks.
    • No, it won’t prevent terrorism.  The British government has already admitted that ID cards and the ID database won’t prevent terrorism.
  • If the Government already has a lot of info on me, why do we need an id card?
    […]But what the Government does not have, and nor do you, is a fail proof system that can prove you really are who you say you are. The long established ways of linking us to our identity – a signature or a photograph – are no longer enough. ID cards will link your basic personal information to something uniquely yours – like the pattern of your iris, your face shape or your fingerprint.
    • And nor will they have a fail-proof way of proving who someone is.  DNA can’t be faked but iris patterns and finger prints can.

BBC starts ID card propaganda

The BBC has started publishing the British government’s ID card propaganda.

There is a link on the BBC News website tonight entitled “Fingertip search: How biometric border controls are tackling illegal immigration”.  The article is talking about what the British government says is going to happen in the future assuming they manage to get biometrics working properly and not what is happening now so the headline is, unsurprisingly for the BBC, completely misleading.

On Planet Home Office, what is going to happen is that everyone who wants to come into the country will have to have a biometric passport and they’ll be validated before they even leave their own country.  Those without biometric passports will go to a consulate and have their fingerprints scanned which will then be sent over here electronically and checked against a biometric database to see if they’ve already been refused entry or if they’re undesirables within 5 minutes.

On Planet Earth, immigrants will just go to another EU country and stroll through border controls because we aren’t allowed to close our borders to our masters on the continent.

On Planet Home Office, immigration officers will do spot checks on factories with portable biometric scanners and check the people working in the factory to make sure they’re allowed to work here.

On Planet Earth, council officers, police officers, traffic wardens and any number of people will have handheld biometric scanners with which we will be required to validate our identies against a national database which is open to businesses and the establishment alike.

Of course, one of the supposed benefits of ID cards is to tackle illegal immigration but people coming into the country will only have fingerprints verified (which are so easy to forge, even I know how to do it) whereas English people who were born here will have to provide iris scans, fingerprints and DNA samples.

Discredited global warming model rolled out again

The discredited model used by the group of UN “scientists” that resulted in the climate change report that is being used by governments – especially our own – as an excuse to intoruce “green” taxes, has been used again by the same group of scientists to predict climate change over the next 10 years.

Once again the scientists categorically blame human activity for climate change, refuse to entertain tha the idea that the current phase of climate change we are experiencing is a natural phenomenon and, most disappointingly, persist in using short term analyses to predict long term changes in the climate.  I say disappointingly because this is one of the major flaws in the global warming scam and makes their research utterly useless.

The latest predictions are for 10 year changes in the climate where previously they have been for 100 years.  But this is a pointless exercise because the kind of climate change that the scientists are flapping about now happens on a massive scale over thousands, millions of years.  It doesn’t happen in a few decades or even a couple of centuries and the micro-changes in the climate (and that’s what they are put into context) are not only unavoidable but perfectly natural.  I’m not quite 30 years old and I can see that the climate has changed in my three decades on this planet.  My parents can tell the difference in the preceding three decades and my grandparents can tell the difference in the three decades prior to that and you know what?  The temperature has gone up and down all over that period.  There have been droughts and wet periods.  There have been harsh winters and hot summers, mild winters and cold summers.

I can vaguely remember the dire warnings of the next ice age predicted for some time around the new millenium although by the time I was aware of it the hype had pretty much died down and everyone had realised that the scientists predicting it really were talking out of their bottoms.  Now the successors to those scientists are predicting global warming and, once again, we are all to blame for leading the kind of decadent capitalist lifestyle the sandal-wearing left-wing environmentalists are so jealous of but can’t have because all the other scandal-wearing left-wing environmentalists will disapprove and then they’ll have no friends because let’s face it, greenies are socially inadequate.

I could ramble on forever about this but there’s no point.  The “scientists” have the backing of tax-happy governments and a seemingly endless amount of our hard-earned taxes with which to spout their ill-informed, inherently flawed global warming propaganda.  Unfortunately, while us “climate change deniers” can see the gaping holes in their theories, people are being taken in by their scam.  The BBC is the mouthpiece of the British government and is happily churning out report after report on the evils of carbon emmissions and telling us all to burn down our houses, live in yurts, breed llama’s and take up subsistence farming otherwise the earth is going to dry up and rabid pack wolves are going to eat our children alive.  Ok, a slight exaggeration but you get the message.

The thing is, if the establishment tells you that something is true enough times and stifles voices of dissent successfully enough, gradually a critical mass of people will accept it as the truth and blindly accept whatever measures the corrupt establishment puts into place to stop the imaginary threat.  This is happening all the time and it will happen forever because this is human nature.  But when, in 30 years time, the next generation of “scientists” are telling us we’re headed for another ice age and there are so many “green” taxes that you have to pay to fart, don’t be surprised when those of us who can see through the scam this time round smugly say “I told you so”.

Flagging up discrimination

The SNP have ruled out flying the British flag over Scottish Executive buildings and are planning to force public buildings in Scotland to fly the Scottish flag instead.  They are also planning to change the rules north of the border to allow the Scottish flag to be flown with precedence to the British flag.

The Welsh Assembly isn’t mentioned but if flag flying is devolved then it is quite likely the Welsh will follow suit leaving the English to have No Mandate Brown’s faux-Britishness inflicted on them.

The BBC, as usual, misrepresents the facts over flag flying rules backing up No Mandate Brown’s false claim that he is responsible for changing the rules to allow English public buildings to fly the British flag all year round.  The 18 day rule that they refer to are the 18 days that it is mandatory for public buildings to fly the British flag – they are allowed to fly it any time of the year under existing rules.

And if anyone knows where the picture on the right was taken, please let me know.  Flying the British flag over the English flag is a declaration of war.

Lies, Damn Lies

Ruth Kelly, the new Transport Minister, has denied claims that the Department for Transport was blackmailing local authorities in England into introducing road pricing schemes.

This is an absolute lie and I know for a fact that at least one local authority in Shropshire is being blackmailed into introducing road pricing.

Shrewsbury is the mediævil county town of Shropshire. The entire town centre is a maze of one-way systems and pedestrianised areas. Most of the town is bypassed and the town centre, at its busiest, is almost never congested. In fact, the only time I’ve seen the town centre congested is when the buses all converge on the same stretch of road. Other than that, there is one major bottleneck at the Welsh Bridge and one at the Train Station. Congestion, of the sort you would find in a large town or city is none-existent. It is perfectly possible, in rush hour, to travel from one side of town to the other in no more than 10 minutes.

However, despite the patent lack of congestion, the Department for Transport has made funding of a new bypass (which has been postponed for years) dependent on the introduction of a road pricing scheme for the town centre. The Tory-controlled county council, which seems to have been as convinced by the global warming scam as the party, has put in a bid for funding for a pilot road pricing scheme.

If the aim is to remove the car from Shrewsbury town centre than it will be successful. A few miles down the road is the Telford Centre – several hundred shops in a covered complex with cheaper and more convenient parking and a good selection of brand-named stores. Shrewsbury, on the other hand, has an uncovered high street, a couple of small covered shopping centres and a 1960’s market hall that could only be improved by several tons of high explosives. Don’t get me wrong, unlike my fellow Telfordonians I really like Shrewsbury. The high street is full of timber framed buildings and little alleyways with overhanging timber framed buildings that really do make it possible to imagine yourself back in time 500 years. But beauty alone won’t be enough to stop people abandoning the town if congestion charging is introduced.

Breaking the English education system

According to yesterday’s Daily Mail, the geography curriculum in England is being changed to “make it more relevant”, the usual reason given for changing something that doesn’t need changing.

Kids will now be taught “themed” issues like global warming, third world trade and the 2012 Olympics. They will be taught about the impact of buying trainers and clothes made in third world countries- an entirely subjective subject. Commited capitalists will say that it’s just market forces at work, anti-capitalists will say that we have a social responsibility to the third world. Children will, of course, be taught the “social responsibility” side of the argument because it’s British government policy. The 2012 Olympics is widely seen as a disaster in the making – the costs have quadroupled and the entire project is running behind time. Kids will, of course, be taught about the “positive” aspects such as the taxpayer-funded regeneration of the East End of London. I won’t even start on the global warming scam.

Basically, the objective of this and other changes to the education system in England is simply to ensure that future generations grow up with New Liebour’s corrupt champagne socialist values. Britishness lessons will attempt to keep the British identity alive for another generation in England even though it doesn’t really exist any more in the real world. The propaganda issued by Federal Europe to be taught as the truth in English schools is a work of fiction but will go some way to brainwashing a generation into being eurofederalists when the rest of the country are eurosceptic.

More Spin from the Goblin King

A week or so ago, Quentin Davies defected from the Tories citing spin as one of the reasons he had changed from being a lifelong Conswervative to being a lifelong Liebour supporter.

It’s a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire for flip-flop Quentin whose carefully orchestrated defection was planned to the last second and his speech – written by Downing Street spin doctors – a masterpiece of treachery and spin. Since then the Downing Street propaganda machine has been spinning on its own axis – if only they’d had the forethought to stick them inside a turbine, they’d have produced enough green (or should that be brown?) electricity to power half of Central London for the last week.

The latest bit of spin revolves around No Mandate Brown’s pathetic attempts to wrap himself once more in the union flag and get English people to take on the British identity his government destroyed in 1997. According to the Downing Street propaganda machine, the glorious Goblin King has changed the rules so that public buildings are no longer restricted to flying the British flag for 18 days a year but now they can all revel in the same faux-British patriotic glory as Number 10 and fly the union flag 365 days a year. Gosh, isn’t he great?

Cue the Torygraph to piss on Gordon’s parade: Union flag already flying all year round.

The error was pointed out by the Flag Institute. Its spokesman, Michael Faul, said: “The 18 days are the days where they are required to fly the flag because of the importance of those days, such as the Queen’s official birthday.

“But there’s no law or custom which prevents any person in the UK flying the Union flag on any other day.”

The DTI is using taxpayers money to fund a “task force” to investigate barriers to black and ethnic minority businesses.

Apparently, black and ethnic minority business owners find it harder to get finance for their business than white people born here.

The “task force” looks like being another one of these unelected, taxpayer funded regional quangos if this is anything to go by:

Tom Riordan, the chief executive at the Yorkshire regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward, with be the deputy chair.

“I welcome the opportunity to contribute to this agenda and I am delighted Yorkshire Forward has agreed to lead in supporting the task force,” Ms Malik said. “Ethnic minority businesses make a significant contribution to GDP so it is important they are supported and encouraged to flourish.”

Mr Riordan said: “If the English regions are to achieve their economic potential, then we need to create the conditions for [black and minority ethnic] businesses to grow and prosper. To do so, we need to make sure they have access to the same levels of support as any other business. I intend to make sure that the task force has a real impact on the delivery of business support across England.”

Could it be that asians are a credit risk?  Could the fact that a lot of asians use more than one name and freely share their identities be a reason why banks are reluctant to loan them money?  I know from personal experience that this happens and it happens often.  I’d be interested to see some sort of statistics on the demographics of bad debts, in particular whether black and ethnic minority groups are statistically more likely to be bad debtors that white English people.  If this is the case then the “discrimination” is perfectly justified and the British government has no place interfering.  Credit Reference Agencies and Banks have built up their credit scoring systems over decades using their own experiences to identify which people are likely to be a higher risk.  Who knows best – banks and credit reference agencies or oppressively-PC civil servants and special (ie. self-) interest pressure groups?

Give me my referendum you lying scumbag

Traitor Blair has reneged on his promise to give us a referendum on the EU Constitution.

The lying, coniving, fuckwit scumbag traitor says that it’s not a Constitution, it’s an “amending treaty”.  This is, of course, a complete and utter filthy lie.  The treaty that he will agree to next week is the EU Constitution that was rejected by the Dutch and French in a referendum and that he himself declared to be “dead” minus the three quarters of the treacherous treaty that’s already been slipped in through the back door.

If Angela Merkel gets her way (and she usually does), the treaty will give the EU a “single legal personality”, introduce majority voting on more policy areas including criminal law and foreign policy and create an EU Foreign Minister and full time EU President.  Merkel also describes the renaming and repackaging of the EU Constitution as a “major concession” and says that it will only happen as long as the “substance” of the original EU Constitution treaty is preserved.  Changing the name from Constitution to Treaty doesn’t change what it is – especially when the “substance” of the treaty is the same.

Blair and the Dutch and French governments have all said that the Treaty for the EU Constitution needs to be simplified so they can bypass the electorate and not hold referenda.

The Tories have called for a referendum on “the type of Europe we want to see”, the Illiberal Dipshits are saying that “criminals and terrorists are free to bomb their way across Europe” because we haven’t handed the country over to the EU and UKIP are demanding a referendum on pulling out of the EU altogether and returning back to what was agreed to in a referendum 50 years ago – a Common Market.

Merkel – the German Chancellor and EU Chief Propagandist – says that we have to have this treaty to make the enlarged EU function properly.  One observation and one solution love – we didn’t want an enlarged EU in the first place and we can easily make the EU smaller and easier to manage for you by leaving it and spending our several billion pound euro-subsidy on ourselves.

Any further transfer of sovereignty to the EU is an act of treachery, plain and simple.  Power is loaned to government, it is not given and no government can bind its successors.  Bliar has no right to give away any more of our sovereignty to the EU – it isn’t his to give away, it’s ours.

I was promised a referendum and I expect it Blair.  Do you hear me you lying, cheating, traitor?
